FAQ
Care Guide and Tips
Hair length
•Your natural hair only needs to be a few inches long to put them in. As long as you can start a solid braid and tie it off securely you are good to go.
Installation:
Double ended dreads
1. Take a section of hair about the size of the dread.
2. Now, split that hair in half and lie the dreads center point down
on your scalp in that section.
3. Braid onto the bottom leg of the dread and tie off with an elastic.
4. Continue until your desired look is complete.
• If you make it snug, it will last longer.
(You can use a regular braid or blanket braid).
• I prefer the blanket as it's very pretty and shorter

Single ended dreads
1. Take a section of your hair about the size of the dread.
2. Now use a crochet hook, Bobby pin etc to pull that section of your
hair through the dread loop.
3. Simply braid your hair into the dread and tie off with an elastic.
Clip In dreads
You can lightly backcomb and/or put dry conditioner in the area you are going to clip your dread into to secure it more. Place wherever you'd like.
Elastics
• I always recommend using rubber elastics over plastic as they do not
breakdown overtime and last far longer.
Wear time
• Generally 4-6 weeks. If you wear your hair up a lot or your hair grows fast,
the time difference may vary. You'll know when it's time to take them out
when they aren't as snug.
Washing
• Cleaning them is quite simple. Just keep your scalp clean and the braided natural hair. Yes, you can use your regular shampoo and conditioner.
• Let your regular shampoo/soap run down and rinse through the extensions.
•Once clean, ring out the dreads in big sections and squish/wrap them with a towel.to dry. You can also blow dry to speed up the process if needed.
• When you want to bathe/shower and not get them wet, simply use a shower cap or plastic shopping bag. Tie it over your hair to keep them out of the water.
Swimming
You can absolutely swim in pools and the ocean etc with these dreads. They will not change color or become damaged. Simply dry as you normally would post shower.
Sleeping
• You may sleep as you normally do, or wrap them up with fabric out of the way or put into a couple of braids. I haven’t found it makes much of a difference.
Removal
• Carefully cut the elastic and undo the braid. Your hair will be very very curly.
• Add a lot of conditioner and rinse well.
Tips and Tricks
Creating extra length and layers
• You can actually braid onto double ended dreads at any point. There are no rules.
By having a longer and shorter end you can create various looks.
Turning a double into a looped dread
• Hold the folded dread at the center point and add an elastic creating a loop.
Refreshing
If after wearing them you'd like them to be like new again you can refresh them.
*Please be VERY careful if doing this.*
1. Get a pot of water boiling.
2. Lay a towel down on the countertop.
3. Carefully dip the hair into the water then flat onto a towel.
For doubles hold the center point and dip each side.
• They are reusable forever and form tighter over time and wear.
